Cyberfreight selects new WMS by Rainbow
Growth of Cyberfreight’s warehousing activities as well as limitations in its current warehouse management system solution, made Cyberfreight decide, to start selection of a new WMS. One that better suits Cyberfreight needs for optimized processes, flexibility, growth and EDI possibilities.
The search started at the end of 2015 on the Logistics and ICT Fair in Utrecht.
Introductions with numerous suppliers led to a long list of potential candidates, which obviously needed to be reduced to a shortlist of 4-5 candidates. Based on criteria like solvability, platform offered, mission and vision, reference overviews, functionalities and EDI and reporting capabilities, we ended with three suppliers at the end of March. Providing them with an extensive list of requirements as well as a detailed process description, we asked them to present their solution, including purchase price, implementation cost, as well as the annual operating cost after implementation.
Extensive reference visits to selected companies eventually made Cyberfreight decide to choose for Rainbow and its solution. Cyberfreight selected a strong, flexible solution in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, which will prepare us for further growth, in the near as well in the distant future.
The implementation project kick-off is scheduled on September 1. The first task of the project team is to commit to a go-live date on or close to December 1, 2016.
